Marilyn Peterson, 80, of Sawyer, Michigan died Friday night, January 17, 2014 at Jordan's Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan.

Marilyn was born February 22, 1933 in Three Oaks, Michigan to Henry and Mary H. (Rohl) Mangold. She graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1951 and married Donald Peterson on February 23, 1952 in Three Oaks. Marilyn was a member of the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and her little dog.

Survivors include her children, Don (Sheri) Peterson of Bridgman, Michigan; Sharon (Rick) Flick of Three Oaks and Diane (Michael) Bement of Williamstown, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Kristie, Chad, Derek, Erika and Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2000 and by her sister Eldora Markunas in 2012.

Private family services will be held at the First Congregational Church in Three Oaks with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
