Requiem mass for Albert Volz, 83, pioneer city real estate operator, will be said at 9 am Friday in St Joseph's Old Cathedral. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Volz who came to the city in July 1889, died Tuesday night of pneumonia at his home, 126 NE 11th St. He settled on the site now identified as the Volz Addition in Capitol Hill. Preceding his retirement, Volz built many homes on North Broadway and Dale Avenue. Rosary will be said at 8:30 pm in the home. (The Oklahoman, Thursday, March 11, 1937)
