Immigrant from Vienna, Austria who with her husband, Dr Fredrick Schnek, escaped Hitler's advance in 1938.
She and her husband lived with members of her family in Buffalo, New York for a while before heading west to Chicago where Dr. Schnek practiced medicine.
For unknown reasons the night of 11 June 1943 Dr Schnek murdered his wife before committing suicide the next day by hanging.
The couple had no children. She was survived by a distant cousin, William Bender, a broker in Buffalo.
She was the daughter of Erwin and Ella Riedeck.
