Daisy M. Hafenstein, 77, Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at UW-Hospital in Madison.

Daisy was born in Columbia County, on Dec. 20, 1935, to Samuel and Opal (nee Biddle) Sheeks. She was united in marriage to Roy Hafenstein on July 21, 1951. Prior to working many years at Beaver Dam Community Hopsital, Daisy also worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam. Daisy was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake, where she assisted with the Alter Guild and finances. She was a member of "Classy Ladies" and enjoyed going out to eat, baking and making holiday candies. Daisy loved her family dearly and treasured all of the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Daisy is survived by her children Penny (Richard) Boschaert, Nancy (Charlie) Diels and Cindy Hafenstein, all of Beaver Dam; her daughter-in-law Leann Hafenstein of Randolph; her grandchildren Jody and Amy Berg, Dana (Dave) Raue, Keith Diels, all of Beaver Dam, Jeff Hafenstein Jr. of Fox Lake, Michelle (Lucas) Schmidt of New Holstein, Melissa (Steve Hopp) Hafenstein of Fox Lake, Melinda Hafenstein of Waupun, Bruce, Brandon and Mitchell Waterworth, all of Randolph, Amy (Tony Gunderson) Meier of Randolph, Stacey (Jim) Steger and Christopher (Stephanie) Meier, both of Beaver Dam; great-grandchildren, Gillian, Matthew, Hailey, Mitchell, Emmett, Trenton, Brayden, Briann, Zachary, Nicholas, Nolan, Natalie, Gavin and Ava; her sisters, Virginia (Lloyd) Thomas of Beaver Dam, Rose Bushke of Fox Lake and Lily Jones of Beaver Dam; and her brother-in-law, Carl Vogel of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy; two sons Greg in infancy and Jeffery "Jeff" in 2011; son-in-law, David Meier in 2012; two sisters and four brothers.

In honoring Daisy's wishes, private services will be held and inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton, at a later date.
