Francis was born on October 25, 1920 on a farm east of Kelly, to Herman Joseph and Anna Marie Haverkamp Boeding. He attended St. Bede's Catholic School in Kelly graduating from the 8th grade. Francis worked at Fairmont Food for 32 years; before he began repairing televisions.
Francis married Pauline Helling on October 10, 1959 at St Ann's Catholic Church in Independence, Kansas. The couple celebrated 41 years of marriage before Pauline's death on June 6, 2001.
Francis enjoyed traveling, playing cards, raising a big garden and attending the Royals and Chiefs games.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church in Raytown, Missouri, where he was an usher for the church.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fr. Damian Boeding and Wilbert Boeding; and sisters, Mary Kremer, Rita Brownsberger, Edna Steinlage and Rosalia Fangman.
He is survived by his children, Anthony (Judy) Boeding of Aurora, Illinois and Amy (Ron) Rogers of Centerview, Missouri; a brother, Lawrence Boeding of Gladstone, Missouri; a sister, Leona Olberding of Seneca; and three grandchildren, Courtney, Katie and Brett.
Rosaries will be prayed at 7 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM Thursday, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
