Mrs. James W. Blake, Native of City, Dies
Mrs. Florence Ford Blake, formerly of 30 Grace Street, widow of James W. Blake, died Wednesday in the Hospital of St. Raphel following a long illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Blake was born in New Haven December 12, 1890, daughter of Christian and Cathleen Ford. She was a retired telephone operator for the city of New Haven.
He leaves a daughter Mrs. Florence McNeal of California; a son James W. Blake of Massachusetts, a sister Mrs. Marguerite Ducharme of Florida.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:15 from the Sisk Brothers' Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St. A requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church at 9. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
