Marilee D. Cox, of Parkersburg, died Feb. 11, 2014, at her residence.

She was born April 2, 1930, in Parkersburg, daughter of the late Luen C. and Mildred M. Maxson.

She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, attended West Virginia University and Mountain State Business College. She worked in banking starting at First Federal Savings and Loan and retiring from One Valley Bank on Oct. 31, 2000.

She was a member of the Vienna Chapter 151 Order of Eastern Star, the Oriental Shrine, the Worthington Ladies Golf Associaton and St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. "Bud" Cox, on Nov. 19, 1988.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Pam Shuman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
