Age 92, of Albion, the son of the late Ray and Ola Dalrymple Knapp.
He retired as a track foreman from the Bessermer and Lake Erie RR in 1967, after 31 years of service. After he retired, he raised chickens and turkeys. He enjoyed his grandkids and watching the MASH TV series.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Peck Devies Knapp, on April 26, 1995; a son, James Knapp; a sister, Mertie Hale (d 12/1980); and three brothers, Royce Knapp, Burt Knapp, and Charles Knapp.
He is survived by twelve children (some are step-children but raised by he and their mother Lillie), Linda (John) Altman, Charlotte Hall, Md.; Roberta (Bruce) Fausnaught, Albion; Dawn Hall, Girard; Carol (William) Davis, Savannah, Ga.; Joyce (Brian) Sherman, Albion; Janice (Jim) Henretty, Albion; Ronald Devies; Erie; Charles (Charlotte) Devies, Houston, Texas; Robert (Sue) Knapp, Fairview; William Knapp, Albion; William (Kathy) Devies, Springboro; and Edward Knapp, Albion. He is further survived by 35 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
