DEATH OF AGED RESIDENT
AFTER SHORT ILLNESS THURSDAY

Following an illness of short duration the death of William Harrison Cornwell, one of the eldest residence of this village, occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Dickey in Geneve street at an early hour Thursday morning. The immediate cause of death was heart trouble and although his health had not been of the best for a long time, he had been able to be out and about until Saturday.

William Harrison Cornwell was born in the vicinity of Springwater more than 83 years ago, and he had always been a resident of this county. For many years be resided in the town of Leicester, where he was one of the most successful farmers of the day and a prominent man. At one time he owned several valuable farms in that town, one of them being "Sunny Side", now the home of Mr. and Mis. Jobn Long. Most of the time during the past lew years be had resided with his daughter here, who, together with her husband, had tenderly cared for the aged gentleman in his declining days. He was ambitious, always eager to be busy and be was never contented unless he was engaged in some work.

Besides the daughter, Mrs. William Dickey, with whom he resided, diseased is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Gleno Jones of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services will be held from his late Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Herbert S. Harris, pastor of the local Presbyterian Church, will officiate, and interment will be made in the family plot in the new cemetery.
