She is the daughter of John Adea Cushman and Jane Sumner

On 10 May 1884 at Lincoln Co., Wisconsin she married Orrin James Persons.

Sister is Clara Elnora Cushman Rolfe (Find A Grave Memorial# 122864833)

Obituary:
Julia, beloved wife of Orrin J. Persons, after a long and severe illness, died two weeks ago at the west side.
She was married about a year ago and at that time looked as if she would live to enjoy many years of health and happiness, but for some time past a change came over her which finally brought this young christian woman to her last resting place. She was a daughter of J. A. Cushman of this city, and had warm friends almost without number. She was amiable and courteous, and always had a kind word or action for all who happened to meet her and were in need. All that earthly help could do was done for her, but in spite of the many hours of anxiety and suspense for the restoration of health, she was called to her everlasting home, leaving behind her a grief-stricken husband and parents and many sorrowing friends. Mr. Persons has the sympathy of his many warm friends in this city, also the parents of deceased. By her many good deeds will she be remembered.
(Published in the "Merrill Star-Advocate," July 2nd, 1885, MDP, Page 4, column 6)

Appears in the 1870 U.S. Census living in West DePere, Brown, Wisc. That census was taken 16 August 1870 and shows her age as five.
The 1880 census, still in West DePere, shows her as 14
