El PASO, TX: Staff Sergeant Mitchell "Britt" Brittingham 31, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014.

He was born December 23, 1982 in Springfield, Ohio to Connie Pierce (Murray) and Stephen Brittingham.

He was a dedicated son, husband, brother, and friend. Britt proudly served in the United State Army and was a highly decorated soldier, serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan earning the Meritorious Service Medal.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Brittingham (Jayjohn); mother, Connie Pierce; father, Stephen Brittingham; brothers, Mark Harris Jr., Michael David Harris, Matthew Edward Saladino, and Zachary Brittingham; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday February 17, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Fort Bliss Chapel One-Building 315.

Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors, date is yet to be determined.
