Services for R. J. (Jack) Kantlehner, 33, Pan-American flight engineer who was killed in a plane crash Dec. 8, 1963, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Wolfgram Funeral Home. The Rev. Odyss W. Kneece, First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Eighty-nine persons lost their lives when the DC3 crashed in Maryland. Born in Janesville May 21, 1930, he attended Janesville schools and First Baptist Church. He was graduated from the Northwestern Military and Naval Academy, Lake Geneva, and enlisted in the Navy in July 1950. He served in the Pacific area during the Korean conflict, joining Pan-American after his discharge. He married Margaret Crissman, Lake Geneva, in Memphis, Tenn., in 1950. Surviving are his wife; six sons, two daughters; and his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Cronin, Janesville.
