Adelina, 83, was born to Silvano and Florida (Herrera) Gonzales and attended schools near Las Vegas, New Mexico. She married Alex Roy in 1941 in Trinidad. Adelina moved to Commerce City in 1957 from Firestone, Colorado. Family always came first, she was an active member of the Our Lady Mother of the Church and also with the VFW Womens Auxillary, both in Commerce City. She loved to sing, she sang during the holiday season at Currigan Hall in Denver. She also enjoyed bowling, and had bowled in various leagues in Commerce City. Her pastime consisted of spending time with her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed family gatherings and yardwork. She loved to can and prepare her own food for winter.

Survivors included daughter Shirley (Robert) Davis of Commerce City, son James Carson Roy of Westminster, son Clyde (Carolyn) Roy of Brighton, son Reno (Anita) Roy of Commerce City, brother Tony Gonzales of Denver, sister Mary Casados-Mora of Denver, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, a daughter, and two sons. Funeral services held August 20 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton.
