Graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1952. Received his M.S. and Ph.D. from KSU.

United States Army, 1953-1955.

Married to Alice Lee Watt on 18 Jul 1954.

University of Nebraska/Dawson County, assistant county agent, beginning in 1955.

Active 4-H club leader and superintendent for the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Sheep Show and the State Fair Sheep Show.

Annually helped an animal science student through the Doane Undergraduate Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources at UNL.

Lead teacher at UNL from 1967-1972. Retired from UNL in 1996, but returned to the program in 1997-2007 as professor and then program coordinator.

1964-1966, spent two years at Ataturk University in Turkey.

1975, spent two years at Cabal University in Afghanistan.

Led student study tours to Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, and many more countries.

Adviser for Block and Bridle Club

Active in Nebraska Registered Sheep Association

Member of the Waverly Methodist Church, Waverly Grange and Nebraska State Grange Master.

Member of the Doane Family Association.
