Hays -- Theodore (Ted) Giebler, 72, died Tuesday at St. John Hospital, Salina. Born June 1, 1903 at Catherine, he married Elizabeth Karlin.

He was a retired electrical mechanic and a lifelong resident here. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors are the widow; sons, Francis F., Hays, Robert J., Valley Center; daughter, Mrs. Norman Wood, Trousdale; brothers, James T., Catherine, Edmund, Victoria; sisters, Mrs. Seraphine Haas and Mrs. Hyacintha Miller, Minasha, Wis., Mrs. John Getz, Hays; half-sisters, Mrs. Peter Weigel, Moline, Ill., Mrs. Dan Billinger, Victoria; step-brothers, Bill and Edwin Meis, Catherine; step-sisters, Mrs. Richard Keberlein, Hays, Mrs. Floyd Orth, Maintowoc, Wis; 8 grandchildren.

Wake service will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Brock's North Hill Chapel. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday until service time at the chapel.
