JESSE LEE BATSON 99, of Rocky Point, Scotts Hill, and Wilmington, departed this life on Thursday, November 28, 2013, in Midlothian Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Louise Batson. He is survived by his son, Charles L. Batson and wife Joyce M. Batson of Midlothian Va.; three grandchildren: Douglas E. Batson of Arlington, Va., David Lee Batson of Midlothian, Va., and Donna J. Rainer of Midlothian, Va.; and 10 great grandchildren. He retired from the Navy, then again from Civil Service. He was a member of the CCC, Fleet Reserve, Disabled American Veterans, NARF, and spent 20 years as a volunteer with RSVP. A private memorial service will held early next spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barlow Vista Baptist Church (Hampstead) cemetery fund.
