Robert Joseph Grimm was the son of Clarence Grimm (1894-1969) and Anna Prochaska Grimm (1898-1973).

DODGEVILLE — Robert J. Grimm, age 52, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 1975, at his home. Born July 8, 1922 at Castle Rock, he was the son of Clarence Grimm and Anna Prochaska.

He was raised and educated in the Highland-Muscoda area and was a graduate of the Muscoda High School. He served with the 20th armored division in WWII. On July 9, 1949, he married Hedwig Eckstein at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mineral Point. They farmed in the Cobb, Linden and Dodgeville areas until 1960. Since that time he had been employed by the Singer Lumber Co. as a carpenter. Mr. Grimm is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dodgeville.. He was a 4-H woodworker leader for 11 years. He was past president and present treasurer of the Iowa County Twirlers Square Dance Club. Mr. Grimm was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Thereasa) Heuer, Mrs. Raymond (Barbara) Jones, both of Dodgeville, Rosemary, at home; two sons, Joseph, at home. Marine Cpl. Charles Grimm, Japan; three grandchildren; five brothers, Fredrick Dodgeville, Wilbur, Thomas, Clifford, all of Muscoda, Delbert, Wyocena; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Kay Ludwig, Kolamazoo, Mich.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lee Winifred-Walker and by his parents. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Dodgeville, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, The Rev. George Grotkin officiating. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Mon., Mar. 31 at the McGINLEY FUNERAL HOME, where a parish Rosary will be held or 8 p.m.
