Mr. Corrigan, who was 65, died Sunday in the Yale-New Haven Hospital.
As coroner he investigated all unusual deaths in Meriden and Wallingford, including several that resulted in murder charges.
The most sensational was that of Michael DiLeo, a local barber, about 30 years ago,when Duncan Ladd of Wallingford, was charged with murder in the first degree and acquitted on an insanity plea.
A native of Hew Haven, Mr. Corrigan was a graduate of Yale College nd Yale Law School, and practiced law starting in 1926.
He became associated in the law practice with the late Samuel C. Hoyt, who was the county's state's attorney, and was used as a special assistant state's attorney. His work in this field was a factor in his appointment in 1928 as dep[uty coroner to the late Eli Mix, and when Mr. Mix died in 1930, Mr. Corrigan was named to succeed him.
His survivors include a daughter and a sister.
