Rochelle was born in Baltimore, Maryland. As a child Rochelle loved music and would sing all the time. Later she decide to form a group called "Funk-A-Lishus" where she was the lead singer , and in the early 80's she received a trophy for her voice from the McDonalds,Inc.
Rody (as she is fondly remembered ) was educated in Baltimore City Public School System. She later met the true love of her life and was united in marriage to Vincent Jerome Dodson, for twenty-five years. They were the proud Parents of three beautiful children; Jermal Nathaniel McCoy, Valincia Virginia and Shermera Nicole Dodson. Her life was centered very much around her family that she adored and loved.
Rody was employed at Standard Parking Co., and the Wilbur Co. She was a loyal, faithful and friendly greeter to everyone at the University of Maryland Parking garage where she worked in the mornings.
She leaves to cherish her memories;a devoted husband, Vincent Dodson; one son, Jermal McCoy and two daughters Vilincia and Shermera Dodson; parents,W. Jack and Dorothy M. Finch; two brothers, Anthony and Gerald Finch, Sharon Dodson, Mother-in-law Anna Dodson;six sister-in-laws;Cynthia and Solisa Finch,Sharon Dodson, Mary Downey, Joyce Toye,and Ann Holmes;three brother -in-laws;Michael Wayne and David Dodson;six nephews , Anthony; six nieces; Trena,Shannon, Nia, Melissa,Eric and Artina; two great nephews, Little Gerard and
Kahlil; two great nieces Treionna and Shayl and a host of Uncles,Aunts,Cousins and Friends.
