Emily Eudora "Dora" England was the daughter of Henry Bartlett England and Ida Jessee. Dora married twice:

1. Joseph E. Froedge, about 1927. He died about 1928. Dora was enumerated as a widow on the 1930 census of Metcalfe Co., Kentucky, living with her father, siblings and daughter, Flossie.

2. Basil T. Fields, March 8, 1931, Metcalfe Co., Kentucky

Mrs. Dora Fields, 58, wife of Basil T. Fields of 2262 Wallace avenue, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Fields was believed to have suffered a heart attack. She collapsed at her home and Operation life emergency ambulance took her to the hospital where she died shortly after arrival.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Barkes and Inlow funeral home by the Rev. Thomas England. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Fields, a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church, was born in Edmonton, Ky., March 13, 1907, to Bartlett and Ida Jessie England. Her first husband, Joe Froedge, died in 1928, and she was married to Mr. Fields March 8, 1931. She had lived in Columbus 13 years, and had been in ill health a year.

Survivors are the husband; six sons, Carlos E. Fields, of Route 7, Garnet Fields of Shelbyville, Henry T. Fields of 231 South Brooks street, Paul Fields of Route 8, John Fields of 743 Asenath street and James T. Fields of Jewell Village; five daughters, Mrs. Hubert Bennett of 581 Center street, Mrs. James L. Burton of 4212 Twenty-fifth street, Mrs. William Saltsman of 525 Jewell street, Mrs. Raymond Harper of 281 South 31A and Miss Joyce Fields, at home; four brothers, Leonard England of 715 Patterson road, James England of Westport, the Rev. William R. England of Edinburg and Ernie England of Edmonton, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Carlos Wilson of Westport and Mrs. Earl Wilson of Edmonton; 30 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
