Shirley Jean (Kennett-Stolz) Kovar, 78 of Raymond NE., passed away peacefully at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. Shirley was born on November 5, 1935, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Oscar J. Kennett and LaVerne (Derry-Kennett) Stolz. She married Donald L. (Bear) Kovar on June 27, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Crete Ne. Shirley graduated from Crete high school, class of 1953. After graduation, she was employed by State Farm Ins. Later she was employed by Attorney James Plith esq., and Accent Service Company. She was co-founder of Accent Service, where she managed the Lincoln office, and supervised four satellite offices and employees. Later she rose to vice president of Accent, and retired after 30 years faithful service. She also held several offices, finishing as President of the American Collectors Association. She is survived by husband Donald, son Michael Kovar, Lincoln and daughter, Debra (Jeff) Gossard, Lincoln. Also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Shawna (Troy) Maybe-Gordon, April Kovar, Sara (Nathanel) Hayes, Zane Gossard and Ryan Gossard all of Lincoln. Great grandchildren, Wyatt, Coy and Phoebe Gordon, Hailey, Grace and Faith Hays, Keenan, Colton and Tanner Gossard and Mia, Riley and Liv Kennedy Gossard. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Kennett and sisters in law Phyllis Kennett, and Beverly Wulfekuhl, and Nephews Tim (Shane) Kennett, Shawn ( Nikkia) Kennett, Bradely (Ali) Wulfekuhl, Greg (Darcy) Wulfekuhl, Douglas (Susan) Wulfekuhl as well as her Aunt Vickie (Gerald) Belanger, and friend Kathy Vandenberg. After retirement Don and Shirley enjoyed traveling. Shirley especially loved genealogical research, as well as, crafting, and gardening. Shirley's single greatest joy in life was her family.
