We learn that Mr. B. M. Cornwell, who has been employed for sometime at Deford's & Co's Tannery, in Luray, died at his residence in that place, on Wednesday morning, of last week, and his remains were brought to Union Forge, for interment on Friday, the funeral taking place Saturday.

Mr. Cornwell was well and favorably known in Woodstock, he having been employed here for nearly a year by Mr. Chas. Fogle. He leaves a widow and two small children to lament the loss of a true husband and father.

The following preamble and resolutions have been furnished us by the Luray Lodge of which he was a member:

Whereas, Almighty God has seen fit to remove from our earthly Lodge, we trust to the Grand Lodge above, brother B. M. Cornwell, our honored and respected warden, who departed this life on January 18th, 1893, in the 32nd year of his age, Therefore, be it

Resolved, That we, the members of Marine Lodge, No. 62, IOOF, feel that in the death of Brother Cornwell, we have lost one of our most faithful and energetic workers; one whose absence will long be a reminder of our loss. That we will always cherish his memory, and strive to emulate his many noble virtues.

Resolved, The we hereby tender to his bereaved family our sincere and heartfelt sympanthy in this their sad affliction, trusting that the Grand Master above may ever comfort and sustain them.

Resolved, That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that a copy thereof be sent to the family of the deceased Brother, and to the local newspapers for publication.

Respectfully submitted in F. L. T.
