Louise Hoss, 74, of 605 Southview Drive, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at her residence following an illness. She was a native of Greene County, a daughter of the late Joe and Roberta Dixon Ramsey, was raised in Jonesborough and later moved to Johnson City in 1968. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Temple, a retired retail shoes clerk and member of the Johnson City Senior Citizens.

Survivors include: her husband, Billy Hoss of the home, a son, Billy Hoss, II and his fiance, Robin Rosenbaum Hoss of Chuckey, a very special sister, Linda Pierce of Gray, whom she raised as a daughter, four sisters, Jean King of Piney Flats, Jane Harvey of Johnson City, Carol Grindstaff and Sherry Deakins both of Jonesborough; a brother, Phil Ramsey, Jonesborough, a very special great niece, Brittany Pendergrass, Jonesborough and a very special great nephew, Jordan Pierce, Gray, a special great nephew, Jeremy Marlor, Jonesboro, a special great niece, Destiny Rose of Elizabethton; three step grandchildren, Brittany, Cody and Devin; several nieces and nephews and two special friends from CVS, Sharon and Judy.

A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Lynn Hartsell at 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on the following day, Thursday, July 14, 2005 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary bearers will be: Mike Howell, Larry King, Bob Kirsch and Ricky Deakins. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Visitation at the home at other times. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Johnson City Senior Citizens, 607 E. Myrtle Ave., Johnson City, TN 37601 or the Dawn of Hope, P.O.Box 30, Johnson City, TN 37605.
