Lorena E. Johnson, age 92, of New Holstein, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.The former Lorena Fass was born August 22, 1921, in Madison, WI a daughter of the late Peter & Margaret (Lochner) Fass. She attended St. James grade school and graduated from Madison West High School in 1939. Lorena was a World War II Army veteran serving with the WAAC and WAC from June 1943 to January 1946 as a clerk typist at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN.

On February 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Dale C. Johnson. Her husband preceded her in death on February 5, 1995.She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the church's Christian Women's Society where she served as a past president.Lorena enjoyed golfing, dancing, and playing bridge with her many friends.

Survivors include her three daughters, Christine Johnson of Phoeniz, AZ, Susan (Tom) Hipke of Ballarat, Victoria Australia, Leslie (Kevin) Fredrich of New Holstein; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Billy) Anderson, Ross Hipke, Casey and Kerry Fredrich; and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Dale Johnson; her parents; and two brothers, Ozzie and Joe.

Entombment will be in the Knollwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
