Formerly a resident of Bloomington, Indiana.

Religion: A member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Las Vegas.

Employment: Retired from the Department of Gross Income of Nevada and was a former Monroe County Treasurer in the 1940s.
She also worked for Public Service in Bloomington and for the Indiana Gross Income Tax Division.

Public Service: Was the first woman to be elected to a public office in Monroe County.

Education: She was a graduate of Ellettsville High School and attended Indiana University.

Survivors: Her mother; one daughter of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Mrs. Jane Kiser of Ellettsville; two brothers, Lester and Nelson Figg, both of Ellettsville; and two grandsons.

Preceded in death by her husband, I.N. Presley.

Services: Were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel with the Rev. Woodrow Figg presiding.

Burial:Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Visitation:Was on May 8, 1977 at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. and also on Monday 2 to 9 p.m.
