Mary June Cooke, 78, of Clark Road, Stephens City, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Cooke was born June 27, 1928, in Frederick County, the daughter of Harvey D. and Susie Rickard Cornwell. She was a graduate of Stephens City High School
She married Robert L. Cooke on Nov. 28, 1964, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Bonnie Ashwood of Strasburg and Sherry Taylor of Winchester; four sons, Dennis Oates and Michael Oates, both of Winchester, Randy Cooke of Berryville, and Robert Cooke of Stephens City; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A sister, Elva Bowers Craven, is deceased, as are two brothers, Harvey Douglas Cornwell and George Allen Cornwell; and a granddaughter.
A graveside service will be 11 this morning in Macedonia Memorial Cemetery, Frederick County, with Pastor Eric Farel officiating.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Oates, Ryan Oates, Joshusa Taylor, Steven Ashwood, Matthew Taylor, and Daniel Cooke.
Jones Funeral Home, Winchester, is handling arrangements.
