Anita L. Erickson, age 70, a resident of Northridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc for the past seven years, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Anita was born on January 25, 1944 in Escanaba, MI to the late George and Evelyn Vanderlinden. She graduated from Escanaba Senior High School with the class of 1962. Anita had been employed at various places in Milwaukee for many years. On May 29, 1971, Anita married Gary Erickson at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba, MI.
Survivors include Anita's husband of 42 years: Gary, Two Rivers; son: Mark Erickson, Manitowoc; granddaughter: Lucinda, Manitowoc; three brothers: Roland (Barb) Vanderlinden, Gary (Jean) Vanderlinden, Howard Vanderlinden, and Vern Vanderlinden; sisters: Linda Johnson, Rita (Norm) Coon, Donna (Al) Hoefgen, Mary Kholman, Harriet Masta, Joyce Bombarger; best friends: June Glenwood and Laura Hoffman; also nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Matthew Erickson; and brothers and sisters to include: Frances, Gordon, Beatrice, and Lois.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
