Leila Mae Clarksen, age 62, of 1000 Margaretha St., Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, May 7, 1998 at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., May 9, 1998 at Good Shepherd Luthern Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Kenneth Dowdy will officiate, with vurial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Leila was born June 13, 1935, in the Town of Scott, daughter of the late Leo and Selma (Pillasch) La Plante. She married Arvin A. Clarksen on September 4, 1954, at Wequiock Presb. Church, in the Town of Scott. She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, class of 1951. She was an active childcare giver for many years, and enjoyed summers at the family cottage.

She is survived by her husband, Arvin A. Clarksen, Two Rivers; four daughters and three son-in-law, Deanna (Robert) Gottinger, Cindy (Eric) Wilda, Sally Jo (Bruce) Hendrickson, Lori Clarksen all of Two Rivers; four sons and daughter-in-laws, Steven (Tammy) Clarksen, Thomas (Wendy) Clarksen, James (Gina) Clarksen all of Two Rivers, Mike (Kerry) Clarksen, Kellnersville; grandchildren, Kristin, Shannon, Courtney, Casey, Caitlyn, Jared, Brittnye, Kayla, Justin, Kyle, Cassie Clarksen, Cory, Amanda, Kevin Gottinger, Kurt and Mark Wilda, Jason Hendrickson; Two brothers and four sister-in-laws, Wayne (Joyce) La Plante, Green Bay, Leland (Nancy) DeKeyser, Rhinelander, Beverly Wier, Manitowoc, and Patricia Gibson, Sturgeon Bay; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Donna Coenen, Shirley (Travis) Hornburg all of Two Rivers; and very special friends Eugene (Judy) Kriescher, Two Rivers. Many Nieces and Nephews, and other relatives, and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Ervin La Plante, Randall (Jymie) Gibson, Leslie Gibson; one sister, Kathleen La Plante, her mother & father -in-law, Aulton (Josephine) Clarksen; brother-in-law, George Wier; and two nephews, Robert Coenen, and Charles Gibson.

Friends may call at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m., Friday, May 8, 1998 and at the Good Shepherd Luthern Church on Saturday, May 9, 1998 at 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
