Arvin A. Clarksen, age 69, of 1000 Margaretha St., Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, March 11, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Good Shepherd Luthern Church, Two Rivers. Rev. William Kilps will officiate at the service with burial at knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Arvin was born March 28, 1931, in Two Rivers, son of the late Aulton Roland and Josephine (Slatky) Clarksen. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. On September 4, 1954, he married the former Leila Mae La Plante in the Town of Scott. She preceded him in death on May 7, 1998. Arvin was employed in maintanance at Whitehouse Milk, Two Rivers Hospital and Two Rivers City Hall, retiring in 1994. He was a former member of the Teamsters Union and was an avid Horeshoe player and was a member of the Two Rivers Horseshoe League.

Survivors include four daughters and son-in-laws Deanna (Robert) Gottinger, Cindy (Eric) Wilda, Sally Jo Hendrickson, Lori Clarksen all of Two Rivers; four sons and daughter-in-laws, Steven (Tammy) Clarksen, Thomas (TWendy) Clarksen, James (Gina) Clarksen, all of Two Rivers, Mike (Kerry) Clarksen Whitelaw; grandchildren, Kristin, Shannon, Courtney, Casey, Caitlyn, Jared, Brittnye, Kayla, Justin, Kyle, Cassie Clarksen, Cory, Amanda, Kevin Gottinger, Kurt and Mark Wilda, Jason Hendrickson; he is further survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Travis (Shirley) Hornburg, Manitowoc, Donna Coenen, Two Rivers, Joyce La Plante, Green Bay, Patricia Gibson, Sturgeon Bay, Leland (Nancy) DeKeyser, Rhinlander; memebers; special friends Eugene (Judy) Kriescher, Two Rivers, Shirley Grapentine, Manitowoc; many Nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Wier; four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, George Wier, Wayne La Plante, Randall (Jymie) Gibson, Leslie Gibson.

Friends may call at the Klein & Stangle Funeral Home, Two Rivers from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thusday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Arvin was a super dad, grandfather, friend and will be greatly missed by all.
