FUNERAL YESTERDAY
Mrs. Hewlitt (sic) A. Smith's Remains
Laid to Rest at 2:30 P.M.
The funeral services for the remains of Mrs. Hewlitt A. Smith, who died Friday morning at her home on Williams Street, were held yesterday from the C. C. Rose and Co. undertaking parlor. Rev. J. L. Lineweaver, minister of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the services in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.
Immediately afterwards the body of the late Mrs. Smith was carried to Wildwood cemetery where interment was made beside the grave of her husband. Many floral offerings testified to the esteem in which she was held in the community by her friends.
All of the children were present for the last sad rites with the exception of two sons, Joe L. Smith, who is wintering in Florida, was unable to return, being not well himself there, and H. E. Smith, who lives in Missouri.
