Following a sudden illness, Charles Allen Rhome, 57, of Salem R. D. 2, died Saturday at 3:45 a.m. at Timken-Mercy Hospital, Canton. He was employed at the Stirling Salem Bolt and Trailer Co.
A resident of the Salem-Alliance area the past 30 years, he was born at Aleppo, Pa.., July 17, 1916.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of North Georgetown and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Johnson, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Griner of North Canton and Mrs. Marie Crawford of Alliance; a brother, Walter of Alliance; three sisters, Pearl of Waynesburg, Pa., Mrs. Sarah Morris and Mrs. Sam Stout, both of New Freeport, Pa.; and one grandson.
