Pearl Louise Patton Bonaparte was born January 7, 1917 in Birmingham, Alabama, the youngest daughter of twelve children of John Mark and Lillie Anderson Patton. A lifelong member of St. Mark Church. Her nine brothers, Ross, William, John, Joseph, Clarence, Elijah, Henry, Jesse and Theodore; and her sisters Mary and Naomi predeceased Pearl.
