Betty Ann Latsis 84, of Birmingham, died Monday, March 24, at her home with family and friends. She was born February 1, 1930 in Birmingham, AL where she lived throughout her life. On January 28, 1953 she married her lifelong "Honey", Joseph J. Latsis who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her Mother, "Mama Lillie" Angrisano.
In September 2013 an "angel" was sent to our family named Patricia Martinez. She helped Mother to laugh, dance and sing through the final months of her life and held her close until the end. Her friendship, compassion, support, and care during the end of Mom's life was a blessing to all of us and will never be forgotten. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Wednesday, March 26. Mass will be Thursday, March 27 at 11:00 am at St Mark's the Evangelist Catholic Church on Highway 119. Graveside service will be after mass at Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Staff of New Beacon Hospice and Hands of Heart Caregivers for all their care and compassion. We especially want to thank Briggs, Emily, and April.
