William "Dinky" Dickerson, Sr. Walked through the pearly gates of heaven on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. His loving wife, Sissie was waiting with a smile on her face, and his momma and daddy were there with open arms ready to hug their boy.

Dinky was Baptist by faith and was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church, DeQuincy, Louisiana.

He served in the U. S. Army in Korea and received an Honorable Discharge. He was a rigger at Citgo and worked for many years until he retired in 2009.

He left behind six loving children; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two loving brothers; two loving sisters; along with many loving nieces; nephews and hundred of loving frineds. "Ol' Dink" was a one of a kind, there will never be another like him. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and farmer.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Patricia "Sissie" Dickerson; his parents, Ava and Monk Dickerson, one brother, Nathan "Jobie" Dickerson; one son, Louis Glen and one granddaughter, Kori Dickerson. This legend is gone but he will never be forgotten.

Funeral services were Friday, March 28, 2014 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Pastor Tony Crosiers and Bro Harry Methvin officiated. Interment followed at Perkins Cemetery, DeQuincy, Louisiana
