A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the chapel of the Portland Air National Guard base for Wilfred S. "Will" Unverricht, who died Dec. 16 of cancer at age 67. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Willamette National Cemetery.

Mr. Unverricht was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Cupar, Saskatchewan. He graduated from Forest Grove High School. He lived in the Portland area for 52 years until moving to Ketchum, Idaho, in 1997. He worked at the Oregon Air National Guard Base for many years, retiring as a colonel and base commander in 1987. He was co-chairman of Portland air shows in 1979 and 1980. He married Kendall Simon in 1984.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Deborah L. Jonathan of Gresham, Laurie T. Jones and Gretchen S. Ames, both of Lake Oswego, and Janet S. Duffie of Portland; son, Stephen K. Simon of Hudson, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests remembrances to Legacy Visiting Nurse Association or the association's hospice program. Arrangements are by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
