Estelle Light, 86, of Stuart, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at R.J. Reynolds-Patrick County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Patrick County, Feb. 27, 1916, to Samuel Jackson and Mary Light, both deceased.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lincoln Light, and a sister, Rachel Berrier.

She was retired from United Elastic Corporation.

Surviving are six daughters: Mozelle Tatman of Hartfield, Lula Emogene Lankford of Meadows of Dan, Shirley Maybelle Roof of Galipolis, Ohio, Elizabeth Ann Cruise of Patrick Springs, Phyllis Holt of Vesta and Virginia Ann Holt of Stuart; four sons: Jesse Light of Stuart, Rayvon Light of Columbus, Ohio, Leon Light of Patrick Springs and Cecil Light Jr. of Lawsonville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one half brother, Harold Willard Jr. of Newport News.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tracy Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
