Actress. She will perhaps be best remembered for playing 'Cassandra 'Caress' Morrell', the sister of Joan Collins, in the TV series "Dynasty" (1986). Born Frances M. Carroll, her father was a flying instructor with the Royal Air Force, her mother was actress Hazel Bainbridge, Kate attended boarding school followed by art school, prior to initiating her career as an actress. She experienced her debut on British television in 1957 and in 1963, she became associated with the stage, as she performed in a production of "The Merchant of Venice". Her radiant beauty was soon found in motion pictures, as she made her motion picture debut with a minor part in the Peter Cushing film "Carnage" (1968). She went on to be cast opposite Ingrid Pitt as 'Mme. Perrodot', the Governess in the Hammer picture "The Vampire Lovers" (1970) and in Hammer's "The Horror of Frankenstein" (1970). Her other TV credits include "Triangle" (1981 to 1982), "Dr. Who" (1985 to 1987) and "Howard's Way" (1989 to 1990). She was the older sister of actress Belinda Carroll.
