OBITUARY

Deep sympathy is felt for Mr and Mrs C. E. Churchward and family of Dundowran, near Nikenbah, in the sad death of their only daughter, Evelyn Maud. The deceased child, who was not quite eight years old, was a bright young pupil of the Nikenbah State School, and with her mother and brothers, went to Warwick to spend the school holidays with her grandparents, Mr and Mrs H. Thorne. She appeared to be in the best of health when she left, but a few days later contracted an illness, and was removed to the Warwick General Hospital, about five weeks ago, death taking place early on Saturday morning last, January 29.

The father was twice called to Warwick during his daughter's illness, and was present at her bedside, with the remainder of the family, when the little girl passed away. In addition to her parents, the deceased is survived by three young brothers, Herbert Leslie, Edwin Henry and Mervyn Charles Churchward. The funeral took place to the Warwick cemetery on Saturday afternoon last.
