Irvin F. Meade Dies
South Wilkes-Barre Man Retired in '56
   Funeral services will be held Monday for Irvin F. Meade, 80, of 13 Catlin Avenue, who died Thursday night in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient the last month.
   Rites will be held at 2 p. m. from H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home, 451 North Main Street, Rev. Milo D. Singer, Welsh Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
   A well-known South Wilkes-Barre resident, Mr. Meade was born in this city September 17, 1883, a son of the late Allan F. and Emily Benny Meade. He attended city schools and had been employed in the office of Woodlawn Dairy for more than 30 years, retiring in 1956.
   Mr. Meade and his wife, the former Martha Davis, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in February of this year. He was a member of the Welsh Bethel Baptist Church, city, and its Men's Fellowship Class. He also was active member of St. David's Society of Wilkes-Barre.
   Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. William Auchenbach, Philadelphia.
