Obituary for Dale Rubley

Dale R. Rubley , 81, of Coldwater, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Aaron Chittick from St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 4 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.

Dale was born April 21, 1932 in Kinderhook Township to Ross & Jeanette (Wilkins) Rubley. He married Renee L. Brauer on June 7, 1952 in Coldwater.

Mr. Rubley was a lifelong resident of Branch County, graduating from Coldwater High School in 1950. He drove truck for Farm Bureau Oil for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1994. After his retirement, Dale worked part time for several years, helping some of the local farmers.

Dale was a member of UCT and Farm Bureau. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening. He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and loved to spend time tinkering and fixing his vehicles and his Allis Chalmers tractor. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife Renee, his sons Ross (Angie) Rubley of Hamilton, Gerald Rubley of Battle Creek, his brother Garrett (Myra Lee) Rubley of Muskegon, his sisters Shorty Hauska and Florence Ewers both of Coldwater, his brother-in-law Jud & Linda Brauer of Coldwater, his grandchildren Kaylani, Josh and Kyler Rubley, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Thelma Edicott.
