Mrs. John (Isabel) Bateman of Williamsport, died from apoplexy, at 7:30 o'clock, last Sunday morning, aged 70 years. She had been ailing for several days, but death came suddenly.
Deceased was a native of Ross county, her maiden name being Isabel Siddell. She was married to John Bateman November 4, 1860, and is survived by her husband and seven children. They are; Margaret, wife of John Bowman, of Waterloo; George B. and Ben F. Bateman, of Williamsport James E. Bateman Thomas H. Bateman, Joseph I. Bateman and Mary Ellen, wife of Morris Crabill, of Dayton.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock, at the Christian church, in Williamsport. Burial was in Springlawn Cemetery.
