The following information was contributed by find a grave member David Allen Lambert (#46539084):

The entry for # 127433184 is for a Spanish American War veteran named Samuel Gardner "Gartie" Granger. He was born in Swampscott, Mass. Jan. 1867 (U.S. 1900 Census - Swampscott), living with his father William Granger (1828-1911) buried in the same cemetery. I recently obtained his military badge from Co. C. 8th Mass. Infantry, and his Spanish American War Veterans medal from a descendant of the family he lived with at the end of his life in Swampscott. He died in 1929, his nickname is "Gartie" based on a play on his middle name.
