Helen Ina Becker, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at Lincoln Court Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls.

Helen was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Rigby to Claude and Rachael Null Burgess. She was the only girl in the family, with three brothers, Charles, William and Frank.

Helen married Hyrum E. Bush on Oct. 31, 1934, in Rigby. They lived most of their life in Swan Valley, Ririe and Rigby. They had four children: Norman, Hyrum Jr., and twins, Vern and Verna. Norman passed away in 1937.

Helen was a hard worker in her younger years, taking care of her family and helping on the farm. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and quilt maker. She liked flowers, reading and in later years, walked many miles a day.

Hyrum passed away in 1977. She then moved to Idaho Falls and later married Arthur Becker, who passed away in 1988.

Helen is survived by her children, Hyrum (Sharon) Bush, Vern (Cora) Bush and Verna (Bill) Scott; one brother, Frank Burgess; a sister-in-law, Duane Burgess; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held. She asked to be cremated and her ashes placed at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery next to her husband, Hyrum.

A special thank you to Hands of Hope Hospice and the Lincoln Court staff, including the aides who have given Helen round-the-clock care in the last few months.
