Karen Sue Long, 62, of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Marshall with Dr. Mike Parris officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born November 19, 1951 in Monroe County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Russell Dean Greenup and Beulah Faye Schofield Greenup. On June 8, 1974 she married Larry D. Long who survives of the home. Karen lived in Marshall most of her life and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center, after 30 years of service, where she was direct care staff. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Tammy Squires and husband Tim of Gilliam, Tim Long and wife Michelle of Lucas, TX, and Rebecca Hadley and husband Tim of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren: Mason Taylor Elizabeth Long, Amanda Jo Squires, Emily Suzanne Squires, Treagan Graham Hadley, and Pierce Hudson Hadley; siblings: Ron Greenup of Stoutsville, MO, E.W. Greenup of Columbia, MO, Richard Greenup and wife Tammy of Columbia, MO, Cindy Alverson Freese and husband Tim of Columbia, MO, Donna Starrett and husband Mike of Paris, MO, and Jim Alverson of Clapper, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.
