Shirley Dean (Salters) Givens age 71 passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her Glenpool residence with family members by her side.
Shirley was born January 6, 1943 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Daniel Salters and Lorene (Rice) Salters. She grew up in California and attended Tranquillity High School in Tranquillity, California. On September 28, 1962 she married Daniel James Givens. Shirley was a homemaker and loved to fish. Some of her hobbies were watching cooking shows on television (she was an amazing cook). She loved gardening - attending to her flower beds and plants. Shirley also loved spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Salters and her daughter, Stephanie Craddock (April 5, 2010).
She is survived by her husband, Jim Givens of Glenpool, her daughter, Tracie Davis and her husband, Mark of Marlow, Oklahoma, her son, Marshall Givens of Glenpool, her sister, Judy Raley and her husband, Larry of Fresno, California, her mother, Lorene Rice of Glenpool along with her four grandchildren: Justin, Daniel, Caitlin and Zachary, one great grandchild on the way, other family members and friends.
Visitation 5:00 until 8:00 Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Schaudt's Glenpool
Funeral Service Chapel, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Reverend Pastor Todd Parker will officiate. Graveside services are 1:00 p.m. at Hanna Cemetery.
