Ruth Ann Boots, 74, of Jesse St., Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) died on Friday, April 11, 2014 at her residence following a three year illness.

Born August 8, 1939, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn Wright McKeough. She was married for 58 years to Harry L. Boots who survives. They were married on December 31, 1955.

Ruth Ann attended Lincoln High School and Penn State University where she attained her certificate as a paralegal. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zelienople. Ruth Ann loved her family deeply. She loved all people and truly loved children and was instrumental in helping to build an orphanage in the Congo.

In addition to her husband, Harry, survivors include three sons: Mike (Kathy) Boots, Todd Boots, Eric (Tina) Boots; daughter, Kim (Leonard) Ripper; daughter-in-law, Beth Boots; sister, Honey Jo McKeough; brother, Gary (Betty) McKeough, all of Ellwood City; 10 grandchildren, Sandy Boots, Josh Clyde, Shannon Steigerwald, Rachael Steinbach, Lenny Ripper, Shawn Perkins, Lacey Boots, Jessica Spaulding, Renee Boots and Jimmie Boots and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Barry, who passed away April 7, 2014; brothers, Don, Tom, Charles, and Dennis McKeough; sisters, Sue Hockenberry and Martha Fischer, and a grandson, Bradley Scheidemantle.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Funeral services will be held at the Lillyville Church of God on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with her Pastor, Mark Sentell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lillyville Church of God Cemetery.
