Alfonso G. Macias was born in Mexico when his mother, Maria G. and Romolo Macias entered the U.S. at El Paso, TX. He is the only sibling that was born in Mexico and he is also the oldest of all the Macias family. He could not enter military service because of health issues, but he worked as a miner in Prescott and Superior, AZ. He lived most of his married life with his wife, Mary Macias, and they adopted two children. Later, as they grew up and Mary passed on, he left Superior and moved in with his sister, Carmen Calderon and her family. There, he lived with her and her family until he passed away. All the family has mourned his passing, Nieces, nephews, 3 other sisters (at that time), and 2 brothers who were still in AZ. God Bless him and may he rest in peace.
