" Martin Funeral to be Held Saturday

Funeral Services for Earl O Martin, 70, a former Falls Cityan, who died Tuesday at Alexandria, VA. will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Dorr-Philpot and Reavis-Macomber funeral home here in charge of Rev. Albert B. Gray. Burial will be in Steele cemetery. Falls City Lodge No. 9 A.F. and A.M. will have charge of Masonic services.

The body of Mr. Martin will arrive here at 12:21 p.m. Friday on the Burlington and will be taken to the funeral home.

Mr. Martin had been in failing health for four years. He was born Feb. 27, 1888, at Rulo, a son of the late Elias and Iola Martin.

Mr. Martin worked in the Rulo bank and in the Citizens State bank at Hiawatha for a number of years. He came to Falls City in 1925 and worked here for the Glenn D. Martin Oil company until he retired six years ago. He moved to Alexandria after he retired.

In February of 1910 Mr. Martin was united in marriage to Miss Alice Gilbert at Rulo.

Mr. Martin was a member of the First Methodist church of Falls City; Falls City Lodge No. 9 A.F. and A. M.' Orient Lodge No. 13 of Rulo; Eureka Chapter No. 5 Royal Arch Masons, Falls City; Mount Sinai Commandery No. 8, Knights Templar, Falls City; Adoniram Council No. 5, Royal and Select Masters of Plattsmouth.

Besides his widow, Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Major Earl Martin, Ft. Worth, Tex., and Edward Eugene Martin, Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. William Patterson, Caracas, Venezuela, South America, Mrs. Leslie Rubin, Sausalito, Calif., Mrs. John B. Kenny, Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Lenore Lunsford, Kansas City, and Mrs. Vincent Mairoana, Richmond, Califo.; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer J. Wilson, Falls City, Mrs. Pearl Best, Los Angeles, Mrs John Martin, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Zelma Service, Jetmore Kas.; and a brother, Glenn D Martin, Falls City. There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
