Zella Margaret Mooring Jackson, 90, a resident of Logan , W.Va., for 70 years, died of pulmonary disease Friday at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a six-month illnesss. Born in Yards, Va., Mrs. Jackson lived in Graham [now Bluefield], Va., as well as Huntington, W.Va., before moving to Logan. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Logan. An accomplished bridge player, she also was interested in reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, gardening and arranging flowers. She was the widow of former West Virginia state senator Glenn Robert Jackson, to whom she was married for 56 years, and the mother of the late Glenyce Dieffenderfer and Margaret Pierce. Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Walters of Fort Walton, Fla., and Jane Moore of Severna Park, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Peck's Mill, W.Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD.
