Beloved brother, uncle, grandfather to David Jr. (Colleen) and Christopher Terschluse (Shannon), Christian and Stefan Hanish, Greg and Kevin Terschluse, Erin and Grace Alderfer, great-grandfather to Finn David Terschluse. Val was born in Union, MO Oct 5, 1926 to John Frank and Theresa C. (Hoeckelmann). Val earned his JD Degree from St. Louis University-Law, 1951, was in private practice 1951-2014. He was a distinguished Member of the Missouri Bar Assoc. 1951, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Federal Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, St. Louis County Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Admitted & qualified as an Attorney & Counselor of the Supreme Court of the United States May 5, 1969. Phi Delta Phi Life time member. Val proudly served his country in WWII with the United States Navy, 1944-1946. He was a Prominent Member with more than 50 years of service as a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Val and Janet's romance began while attending St. Louis University. Married July 14, 1951, after graduating, celebrated nearly 63 years of marriage. They enjoyed a lifetime of worldwide traveling. They both have lived a life of devout spirituality. Val has a beautiful soul and has certainly seen the face of God. Of all his achievements at which he worked the hardest and was the proudest, was his role as a father, grandfather, husband, and son.
